Perfume Cover look
The concept of this cover look for the book Perfume by Patrick
Süskind is based on the way in which the main character, Jean
Baptiste Grenouille captures his scents. He wraps his victims in
oil-drenched cloth before extracting the scent. The cover look is
a photograph of this method so that the book imitates one of his
victims. The title of the book appears as blood soaked into the
cloth to reflect the nature of perfume; it seeps into your skin and
clothes. It reflects the gruesome nature of the book.
